Deployments Reflect Advances of Company’s Solutions in Previously Underserved Market

FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 22, 2012—Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced new deployments of its PacketLogic™ systems by several rural Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) customers, representing sales of its solutions into a market previously underserved by existing offerings, older technologies and incumbent equipment providers. With an ever-increasing load of new broadband network applications and devices coming onto WISP networks, the need for visibility and understanding of network traffic has become a business imperative. Procera delivers solutions for monitoring network usage, from individual subscribers to network-wide views of application and device adoption.

“I use the Service Delivery Dashboard, a cloud-based application service from Procera, on a daily basis to monitor high-level trends regarding network traffic,” said Roxanne White, CEO and general manager of Evertek and United Farmer’s Telephone. “For example, we now know the breakdown of different devices on the network, and our experience dictates that certain devices account for the majority of our support effort while others require substantially less attention from our help desk. We are considering incentive programs to drive subscribers toward devices that require less support from us. At Utah Broadband, Shem Valentine, senior network engineer, is in the process of deploying Procera’s solutions. “For us, the key was the ability to integrate Procera through the Python API with our back office systems. These abilities are crucial in delivering the tiered service levels we currently provide, and moving forward, we can offer other services based on the reporting we receive from Procera.”
