Deployments Reflect Advances of Company’s Solutions in Previously Underserved Market FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 22, 2012—Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced new deployments of its PacketLogic™ systems by several rural Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) customers, representing sales of its solutions into a market previously underserved by existing offerings, older technologies and incumbent equipment providers. With an ever-increasing load of new broadband network applications and devices coming onto WISP networks, the need for visibility and understanding of network traffic has become a business imperative. Procera delivers solutions for monitoring network usage, from individual subscribers to network-wide views of application and device adoption. “I use the Service Delivery Dashboard, a cloud-based application service from Procera, on a daily basis to monitor high-level trends regarding network traffic,” said Roxanne White, CEO and general manager of Evertek and United Farmer’s Telephone. “For example, we now know the breakdown of different devices on the network, and our experience dictates that certain devices account for the majority of our support effort while others require substantially less attention from our help desk. We are considering incentive programs to drive subscribers toward devices that require less support from us. This will improve customer satisfaction, limit our support exposure and increase service revenue.” At Utah Broadband, Shem Valentine, senior network engineer, is in the process of deploying Procera’s solutions. “For us, the key was the ability to integrate Procera through the Python API with our back office systems. The flexibility of PacketLogic solutions allows us to customize how we treat traffic, collect statistics and report on that data. These abilities are crucial in delivering the tiered service levels we currently provide, and moving forward, we can offer other services based on the reporting we receive from Procera.” “As an increasing number of WISPs outgrow the more limited and traditional traffic management capabilities provided by existing vendors, they are seeking Procera to add service creation functionality,” said Trevor Failor, senior director of channel sales at Procera. “As providers move toward tiered services, as well as metered and volume-based billing, PacketLogic solutions enable the shift from visibility and accounting to enforcement and service creation. The WISP marketplace has demonstrated robust growth for Procera because of the compelling business case our solutions provide. Combined with our widely acknowledged technical superiority, we have the winning broadband solutions that WISP customers want.” Added Ms. White, “The granular data Procera provides enables great insight to network traffic patterns. The powerful thing is support across multiple access platforms – unlike the vendor-specific element managers – and that has tremendous value. We can now create services based on this information which ensures we will get it right.” To learn more about Procera and its solutions for WISPs, stop by booth # 153 at WISPAPALOOZA 2012 in Las Vegas, October 23-26, or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
