Procera Networks Delivers Solution for Spanish Mobile Operator Yoigo to Comply with International Roaming Data Regulation
LOS GATOS, Calif., February 9, 2010 – Procera® Networks Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, today announced that Yoigo utilizes PacketLogicTM systems to comply with the new European Union (EU) mobile roaming regulations that go in effect Mach 1, 2010.
The regulation by the EU requires that mobile operators provide a default 50 Euro regulated cut-off to all data roaming customers, mobile phone and computer users. Notifications are mandatory when 80% of the cut-off limit is reached and again when it nears 100%. "Customer satisfaction and protection from "bill shock" are priorities for us and very much in line with our company culture to provide total transparency and ease-of-use for our subscribers," said Johan Andsjö, CEO of Yoigo. "Our system meets all EU regulations and our long-standing relationship with Procera allowed us to meet the new requirements well in advance of the deadline."
Procera’s PacketLogic systems provide very granular levels of visibility combined with the functionality to set real-time quota-management controls and to divert subscribers to a user-friendly landing page for further action. These capabilities allow Yoigo, and other mobile operators in Europe, to meet the impending EU regulations requirements.
"Yoigo continues to innovate and provide the best possible customer service," said Paul Gracie, Vice President of EMEA Sales at Procera. "Our long standing relationship enables us to continue to provide the flexibility and functionality that their mobile subscribers require."
