$4.5 Million Follow-On Order for Tier-1 Service Provider completes $10 Million Order
LOS GATOS, Calif., October 6, 2009 – Procera® Networks Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, today announced a follow-on order of $4.5 million to the $5.4 million Tier-1 order announced in August (see announcement here). The addition of this new equipment purchase amounts to the largest announced DPI new sale in the last several years. This Tier-1 service provider will use Procera's PacketLogic systems to gather network intelligence to maximize the service quality for its subscribers. Procera Networks expects to recognize the majority of this revenue within the 2009 fiscal year. "Service providers require better network information and operational awareness to monitor and maintain resources effectively. With this network-wide implementation, Procera Networks will be taking advantage of its award-winning PacketLogic™ PL10014 system which can scale to over 400 Gbps. The PL10000 series was announced in May 2008 and today still maintains performance and scalability leadership worldwide. Each individual chassis can deliver 80 Gbps of throughput and can be clustered in a theoretically unlimited number of units. While scalability is a strong value proposition, the functionality requested by service providers is just as strong a reason for DPI investments and for Procera.
