 The PL20000 is the industry’s first 100GE capable Intelligent Policy Enforcement (IPE) platform, with support for up 320 Gbps of throughput in a single system, and multi-system performance scaling up to 5 Tbps. The PL20000 is designed for the most stressful network deployments, with the performance and capacity to handle up to 10M subscribers with fully personalized services in a policy enforcement configuration. The PL20000 offers network operators a no compromise solution that enables massive growth and without sacrificing scalability or service creation capabilities. The PL20000 removes previous limitations for subscriber provisioning, policy interactions, policy enforcement, charging, application identification, analytics, and congestion management that constrained network services and profitability.
The PL20000 is a 14/15RU AC/DC combination system. Up to 72 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports or 4 x 100 Gigabit Ethernet ports can be used for traffic processing, network redundancy, or traffic diversion. It also supports FlowSync and QueueSync, which enable full support for asymmetric traffic and simplified clustering for network and capacity growth beyond single system limits. The system supports multiple high availability options, including internal N+1 redundancy for modules to enable carrier-class availability.
