Procera has an executive team with many years of experience in the
networking industry. This team has the industry knowledge, contacts and
experience required to drive success in the company.
James F. Brear, President and CEO
James F. Brear, an industry veteran with more than 18 years of
experience in the networking industry, leads Procera Networks to
further the company’s position as the leader in managing and
monetizing the world’s most complex networks. Most recently, Mr. Brear
served as vice president of worldwide sales and support for Bivio
Networks, a maker of deep packet inspection platform technology. Under
his leadership, the company rapidly expanded its worldwide sales
presence, resulting in sales to a number of global Tier 1 service
providers, government agencies, and Global OEMs. Prior to Bivio, Brear
was vice president of worldwide sales for Tasman Networks (acquired by
Nortel), a maker of converged WAN solutions for enterprise branch
offices and service providers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Brear was
the vice president of worldwide sales for Force10 Networks, where he
was responsible for taking the company from a pre-revenue start-up to
the industry leader in switch routers for high performance Gigabit and
10 Gigabit Ethernet. In addition, he spent five years with Cisco
Systems where he held senior management positions in Europe and North
America with responsibility for delivering more than $750M in annual
revenues selling into the world’s largest service providers.
Previously, Brear held a variety of sales management positions at both
IBM and Sprint Communications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from
the University of California at Berkeley.Charles Constanti, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mr.
Constanti, Vice President and CFO, brings over 23 years of public
company financial experience and a track record of delivering results
to Procera Networks. Most recently, Mr. Constanti was the vice
president and CFO of Netopia, Inc., a telecommunications
equipment and software company, from April 2005 until its acquisition
in February 2007 by Motorola, Inc., where he has held a senior finance
position for the past two years. From May 2001 to April 2005, Mr.
Constanti was the vice president and corporate controller of Quantum
Corporation, for which he earlier served in different accounting and
finance positions since January 1997. Before that, Mr. Constanti held
various finance positions at BankAmerica Corporation for 8 years,
including vice president positions in accounting policy and corporate
general accounting. Mr. Constanti was an auditor for
PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years and is a certified public
accountant. He earned a B.S in
Accounting from Binghamton University.Alexander Haväng, Chief Technical Officer Mr.
Haväng is the CTO of Procera Networks and is responsible for the
company’s strategic technology direction. Haväng is widely known and a
respected authority in the open source community, and is the lead
architect for Procera’s industry-recognized, deep packet
inspection-based network traffic and service management solution,
PacketLogic™. Earlier in his career, Haväng was one of the chief
architects for the open source streaming server software Icecast, along
with the secure file transfer protocol GSTP. He spent the early part of
his career at IDA systems, an IT solution provider for the Swedish
government, along with a stint in the Swedish military. Haväng studied
computer science at the Linköping University in Sweden.Jon Lindén, Vice President of Global Marketing Jon
Lindén is the Vice President of Global Marketing at Procera Networks.
Lindén is responsible for Procera’s overall global marketing and
product strategy and execution. He has a background in sales and
business development with extensive experience in managing networking
products throughout their lifecycle. Prior to joining Procera
Networks, Lindén was the CEO of the venture-funded company
TheSchoolbook.com, and headed-up sales and marketing at a content
management software company. Early in his career, he was project
manager at the Swedish Trade Council in Chicago.David Ahee, Vice President of Sales Americas Mr. Ahee brings nearly 20 years of sales and sales management experience
in working with mobile, fixed, and cable operators worldwide, as well as
large enterprises and oems/channels on a global basis.
David joined Procera from Aylus Networks where he served as Vice President
of Worldwide Sales. Previously, David served as Vice President of
Worldwide Sales and Business Development at Auspice prior to their
acquisition by Arris. David also ran Sales at ThinkEngine Networks where
he played a key role in the acquisition of the company by Cognitronics.
David has also served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Nexsi
Systems, and as Vice President of North American Sales for Unisphere
Networks (now part of Juniper Networks), where he grew revenues from zero
to $60 million. Earlier, David was with Ascend Communications, Newbridge
Networks, and ROLM.
David holds a BS in Marketing with high honors from Wayne State
University.Paul Gracie, Vice President of Sales EMEA Mr. Gracie brings more than 20 years of senior-level sales and management experience in the IT industry to Procera. From start-ups to large, established companies, he has effectively built sales teams, recruited and nurtured channel partners, and significantly grown revenue throughout EMEA. Mr. Gracie previously served as Vice President of EMEA sales for Bivio Networks supplying Open Source Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) appliances to leading EMEA information security solutions vendors. He was also Vice President of EMEA at Silver Peak Systems and Redline Networks. Gracie’s career in IT began with Case Communications; he then joined Bay Networks, a leading routing and switching vendor, which was acquired by Nortel. Following this, he went on to become top European sales performer at ArrowPoint Communications, acquired by Cisco Systems. Mr. Gracie joins Procera Networks from Fortinet Inc.Michael Marken, Vice President Global Operations Mr.
Marken is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience
leading world-class customer service organizations. Throughout his
career, he has created and built out worldwide customer service
organizations and back-end internal processes to fit the needs of any
customer. Most recently, he was the vice president of customer
engineering for Nevis Networks, a leading provider of secure switching
and identity-based network security appliances, where he managed the
worldwide customer service organization, all worldwide Sales Engineers,
IT infrastructure and personnel, channel partner relationships and
business opportunities. Previously, Marken held senior management
positions at Riverstone Networks and CoSine Communications. He is a
graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. |
